So, your idea is to hear music in every room of your home? We can make it happen.

Music Brightens Every Room. We're use to hearing background music in commercial space, such as in offices and banks. But now multi-room audio has exploded onto the home entertainment scene. In addition to your main entertainment area, you can distribute music to your bedroom, kitchen, hallways, and even outdoors. However, there are many factors to consider when incorporating a multi room music system.

Choose the Rooms. Begin by deciding which area of your home you want to equip for music. You will need a power amplifier to drive the speakers in each zone, your budget is really the only limitation to number of zones. Rooms usually chosen are the master bedroom, the kitchen, the living room, the family room (or media room/theater) and the patio. Other rooms can be added to the system later if speaker and control wiring are routed to those locations at the outset (see Structured Wiring.)

Dedicate Space for Equipment. All of the components that make up a multi room music system can be located in a standard closet or inside a custom cabinet that houses the media-room TV and surround sound system. Alternatively, the equipment can be split up, with the sources (CD, tuner and surround receiver) remaining in the family room, the distribution and control units stored out of sight in a basement utility area.

The Music Distribution System Closet. If you are designing your new home, now is the time to include a central storage "closet" for all components of the music-distribution system. For convenience sake, these closets are usually located on the main level of the home and should measure about 84 inches high by 24 inches deep, at a minimum.
